How often do I need to train?
You should engage in some form of physical exercise daily. The frequency with which you should train in Gian's studio depends on the amount of time you have to devote to training on your own. While some clients find that they only make time for exercise when they have an appointment to keep, others have no problem scheduling time for exercise. Typically, Gian's clients see him 2 to 3 times per week.
How quickly will I get results?
The speed with which you will see results depends on your commitment to training. Obviously clients training three times per week will see results more quickly than those training only once per week. While each person's body responds differently, you will see results sooner rather than later if you commit to regular strength training, cardiovascular activity and healthy eating.
May I train with a friend?
Yes. The Fitness Works studio can accommodate up to two people at a time for personal training sessions.
I want to train for a specific event or sport. Can Fitness Works help me to prepare?
Yes. Gian has received specialized training through The International Sports Science Association (ISSA) in strength and endurance training for sports.
I don't want to give up my favorite foods. Do I have to?
While almost everyone needs to make some dietary modifications, no one has to give up everything he or she loves. Gian can suggest a healthy alternative for almost any type of food.
I've never exercised regularly. Am I too far gone?
Absolutely not! Anyone can achieve a healthier lifestyle.
I have physical limitations. Is it safe for me to train?
Anyone can benefit from personal training provided a doctor has approved of an exercise program.
I see a specialist (physical therapist, registered dietician, etc.). Can I still train?
Probably. As long as your doctor has deemed it safe for you to exercise, Gian is happy to work with your specialist when designing your personal fitness program.
I'm going on vacation. What can I do to maintain my exercise program?
If sticking to your exercise program is important to you while you're out of town, Gian can help you identify realistic, feasible exercise goals.
